Tahseen Mozaffar

Dr. Tahseen is a Professor of Neurology at University of California, Irvine. He is also Director, Division of Neuromuscular Diseases and Director, UCI-MDA ALS and Neuromuscular Center and an Affiliate Faculty, Institute for Memory Impairments and Neurological Disorders (UCI MIND) His special interest is in Rare and Orphan Neuromuscular Genetic Disorders such as GNE Myopathy, Oculopharyngeal Muscula Dystrophy, Pompe Disease, VCP Associated Multisystem Proteinopathy, ALS, Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophies.

Yusuf Rajabally

Prof. Yusuf A. Rajabally trained and qualified in medicine in Montpellier, France. He completed specialist training in Neurology and Neurophysiology (EMG) in Bordeaux, France and obtained an MD based on work on Genetic Neuropathies in 1997. He set up and run the Neuromuscular and Peripheral Nerve Sub-specialist service in Leicester, UK from 2001. He was appointed as Consultant Neurologist at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, UK in 2013 to the Regional Neuromuscular Service where he now leads the service for peripheral nerve disorders. He was appointed Honorary Professor of Neurology in 2015 by Aston University, Birmingham, UK.

Pushpan Naraynswami

Prof. Pushpa Narayanaswami is a Neuromuscular Neurologist. She is the Vice Chair of clinical operations in the Department of Neurology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, MA, and an Associate Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School. She is a Clinician - Educator and researcher with special interest in Myasthenia Gravis, Myopathies, and Muscular Dystrophies.

Sanjeev Nandedkar

Dr Sanjeev Nandedkar received his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering. After working at the Uppsala University and Duke University Medical Center, he joined the TECA Corporation ( now known as Natus Neurology ) where he helps design of Electromyographs. His research interests are Quantitative Signal Analysis, Single Fiber EMG and Motor Unit Number Index (MUNIX). He was given the Distinguished Service Award by American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine ( AANEM ) He also shares the Distinguished Research Award from the Association of Academic Physiatrists.

Nishino

Dr. Ichizo Nishino is Director, Department of Neuromuscular Research, National Institute of Neuroscience, National Center of Neurology and Psychiatry (NCNP), Kodaira, Tokyo, Japan. He obtained his M.D. in 1989 and Ph.D. in 1998 from Kyoto University. After 5 years of training in clinical Neurology and 6 years of research fellowship, including 2 years at Columbia University, he was appointed to his current position in 2001. Dr. Nishino has been a WMS's Executive Board member since 2010. He is also serving as President of Asian-Oceanian Myology Center and Executive Board member in several domestic academic societies including Japanese Society of Neurology and Japan Muscle Society.

Madhuri Hegde

Dr. Hegde is the Adjunct Professor at Georgia Institute of Technology. Previously, she was the Executive Director of Emory Genetics Laboratory and Professor of Genetics and Pediatrics at Emory University. She received a B.Sc. and a M.Sc. from the University of Bombay, India, and a Ph.D. from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. She completed post-doctoral studies at Baylor College of Medicine and is board certified in Clinical Molecular Genetics. The focus of her work is the development and implementation of high-throughput omics based strategies for discovery and clinical testing. She has over 25 years’ experience in clinical diagnostics. She serves on scientific boards and has been invited to present her work globally. Currently, she is on the board of American Board of Genetics and Genomics Foundation (ACMGF)
